Mixing bowl
- 250 g strong flour, sifted
- pinch salt
- 28 g caster sugar
- 50 g cubed butter
- 1 whole egg
- 8 g fresh yeast
- 80 g water
- cinnamon sugar (sugar with a bit of cinnamon)
Method
- Use some water to soften yeast.
- Rub butter into the dry ingredients.
- With a dough hook, add yeast.
- Slowly add beaten egg.
- Slowly add water.
- Mix until dough comes away from bowl.
- Cling and prove.
- Gently roll or spread out to 1.5 cm thick.
- Use cutters to cut out shapes.
- Prove.
- Fry at 180C until golden on both sides.
- Roll in cinnamon sugar.
